Ben Llewelyn

Ben Llewelyn
Ben has worked for 15 years for the wine trade. Starting at Oddbins in Manchester, he quickly learnt that to get on, you needed to be with a wholesaler, whose names were on the back of the many bottles he sold in the shop. He started working for Enotria Winecellars in London in 1999 and built up a client portfolio that consisted of many of the greats: River Café, Fifteen, and Hush, as well as handling the accounts of Carluccio’s and Strada. This work allowed him the opportunity to work and travel extensively in Italy...read more »

Ian Barker

Ian Barker
Operations
Ian had a relatively late introduction to the wine trade. As a frequent customer of his local wine merchant in Bath, he realised that his professional life lacked a certain spark. So in 2002, wrote a speculative letter to the managing director, suggesting he may be able to help with his twenty years of business experience in stores, buying and supply chain at Somerfield. This was just what the company required and after a period of consultancy...read more »

Angus Hunter

Angus Hunter
Overton Manager
In order to confirm whether the wine trade was for him, Angus took his WSET Intermediate exams just after starting at Newcastle University and got hooked. He then started his placement year with a larger company before finding that the ethos, and support of small vintners at Caviste was much more suited to his way of thinking. A year later, and the degree in the bag, Angus is back to look after the Overton store. With the next wine qualification in the pipeline Angus is first at every tasting and the last to leave, soaking up just about all the information he can. A keen cook Angus is always ready to help pair a wine for your supper!...read more »
